Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT)
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas runs the grid and wholesale electricity market for most of Texas, a system largely separate from the rest of the North American grid. On the map, ERCOT has 1,007 power plants with 173.1 GW of capacity, natural gas the largest share at 60.8 GW. Its interconnection queue holds 1,782 active requests for 408 GW.
