Southwest Power Pool (SPP)
Southwest Power Pool runs the high-voltage grid and wholesale electricity market across the Great Plains, from the Texas Panhandle to the Dakotas, and parts of the Mountain West. On the map, SPP has 730 power plants with 99 GW of capacity, wind the largest share at 36.7 GW. Its interconnection queue holds 683 active requests for 151.2 GW.
